  • Wanted to say that my DMP is now up and running :) I made my first payment to CCCS lastweek and recived my first reply from one of my creditors MBNA on Saturday. They said they are willing to accept my offer of new repayments but will issue a default in 30 days and may pass my debt on to another company , I think this normal practise from what I have read on here .
Anyway my life has turned around already , I have a new closeness and honesty with my husband and find it really refreshing knowing I cant spend even if I wanted to haha . Get a little shaky thinking the next sale is coming tho :/
I have accepted that I have spent most of my adult life over spending money that I dont have , Ive been addicted 'to spending' I'm sure there's others who have too x
Anyway onwards and upwards and all that :) I know its a big road ahead of me but at least I can sleep at night now xx

just read over your journey so far, the oart further up where someone said "its probably just years of overspending slightly" rung bells with me.

Just wanted to say i hope you get peace from your creditors and can now get on with paying it all back and moving on!

    Hi mumsnopennies,
Just want to say well done! I read through your diary to date and you've come a long way in a short space of time. I'm glad things worked out for you when you told your other half. That is a big relief for you.

My overspending was just to keep up with daily life expenses that I discovered I didn't really need when I started to post on here.
Things are slowly getting better, but they are getting better. I find posting on here and reading how others are getting on helps me.
    Good luck with it all.

Well done mumsnopennies. You really have taken the biggest step towards becoming debt free. The relief of being able to sleep at night and not worrying if the money will last until the end of the month is priceless to me :T
