so, vodafone defaulted me but they told me it is not really important default all you have to do is pay back the debt and your default will be removed.
so to consoldate me and my partners debts i applied for a loan to help me and her out but got declined?
is this cause of the default? about 15 days before I got aproved a contract from vodafone the default went on at the 18th of may..?
I don't understand how this credit "rating" works..

A default recorded on your credit file - especially one registered so recently - will stop you getting pretty much any credit.
Once a default has been registered, it cant be removed EXCEPT by the company who registered it and ONLY if it was registered in error.
Vodafone are either registering a default before they should (you should get written warning your behind/missed payment with a chance to recrtify it before a default is registered) OR they are telling you porkies regards getting it removed to try and get the money (if they do remove it, but it wasnt applied in error - ie you didnt owe the money then they are in the wrong as well).
ALL Defaults are important - Vodaphone should NOT be telling you other wise.0 -
If you've got a default on your file from the 18th of May, then you are stuck for 6 years. I know that from experience and even now that I am debt free, I still can't get credit. Not decent credit anyway!
When I got a default, I was first sent a letter from the cc company to warn me it would happen, and that I could avoid it if I paid the arrears on the account (which I was unable to do). Didn't you receive a similar warning from Vodafone?
Also, and I know you haven't asked the question, so forgive me for butting in, but do you think consolidating your debt with a loan is the best thing to do? Have you posted an SOA on here and got some suggestions and ideas?LBM: August 2006 £12,568.49 - DFD 22nd March 2012

The phrase 'Vodafone defaulted me' is ambiguous.
What I think you have is a letter or statement telling you the account is in arrears and a formal default may be put on your credit file if you don't bring it up to date.
That's why Vodafone told you it's not really important, and all you have to do is pay what you owe.
It is confusing, because the standard letter does use the word 'default'.0 -

Hi obay,
If we have recorded a default against your credit file then once the balance has been settled the default would be marked as satisfied rather than removed.
However, the circumstances do appear to be unclear here and so to enable to get this looked into further could you email us with your details via the Contact us form here quoting the code WRT135 - MSE Fao Lee in the subject line?
Once sent you'll receive an automated reply with a reference number. So ensure that it reaches us could you update the thread with this and we'll get back to you as soon as possible?
Thanks,
