Changes for the better and I'm even getting married :-)

2 years ago at about this time things were looking very dismal for me.
Due to ill health I was frequently losing jobs due to being off sick so much - despite sick notes etc..
My debt was getting worse and worse and was starting to reach unbearable levels.
I had to take a step back have a good think and decided to take the plunge.
2 years on:
I am now self employed and have a very stable and ongoing 30 hours of work @£7 per hour. Which I can do as flexible hours and I've not had to take even a single day off due to illness as it works easily around me.
We've moved to a lovely much bigger flat and i'm just about to start a veg garden which should help with some costs.
We also have a lodger (my partners sister) moving in with us from next week - so things are really looking up.
My partner (future husband) has managed to knock his debts from £7000 to £1500
I've managed to knock mine from £5500 to £2200.
We are even managing to get married this year - all be it on a very very strict budget of £1400 (which I have managed to stick to very well - and have found great fun bargain hunting)
Sometimes taking a little step back and making a leap in a different direction really worked - for me going self employed is the best thing i've ever done.
Thanks to all the posters for their kind words and inspiring stories.
