Are they allowed to contact me at work??

As stated as in a previous post, my debt is with pay day lenders. I've had a number of calls from them harassing me at work and the ones I have spoken to, I have made very very clear that they are to NOT contact me at work and if they phone my mobile and I do not answer, to leave a message and I'll return their call.

However on my days off this week, someone called asking for me....the person who took the call can't remember the name of the company, but i can't think of anyone else who would be calling asking for me at my work place but these companies?

It's pay day next week and I'm going to make some payments towards these debts, but I don't need them calling work and making issues with my manager.

Are they actually allowed to ring work? Especially if I've told them not to?

Someone please help!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Bex

Not that I'm aware of....but it's not hard to find, type the name of the company and town into google and it comes up.

Just like a debt collector tried to contact me via my mum's mobile number (which used to be my number), although I had nothing to do with pay day loans when I had that number.

If they are saying who they work for or what it is regarding, then no they are not allowed to.

Getting them to stop is another matter, as companies that resort to this rarely give a "stuff" about what they should or should not do.
