looking for budgeting help

Im looking to start a really effective budget starting from after my holiday the second week of July.
I have worked out the costs of everything ill need and have set up virtual accounts with Halifax with a view to setting up standing orders to all of them.
The problem i Have is,
eg i have allowed £20 per month for clothes, should i have a weekly standing order for something like this or a monthly one.
I get my wages monthly but my tax credits weekly.
I have allowed it with enough leeway that i should be able to to stick to it rather than having it too tight that i am likely to stray
any advice?
