Depends very much on how much and for what purpose.
Is it for asset purchase? eg a car or van?
Is it for stock?
Is it to cover initial trading losses?
Is it 2,000 that you need or 200,000?
What does your business tell the lender? In fact, what does the business plan tell you? You do have a comprehensive business plan don't you?

This site tells you everything you need to know including any grants you may get and what you need to apply for loans. There are also low interest business loans available to some people, so make sure you do all your research before you jump in.
