COMPAQ INTEL CORE 2 DUO desktop 461£

I think it is not a bad price (not excellent price though).

COMPAQ INTEL CORE 2 DUO E6400 PROCESSOR - SR2029 with 12 month warranty. No monitor but comes with mouse and keyboard.

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6400, 2 x 2.13GHz, 1GHz FSB, 2MB Cache, Microsoft Windows XP Media Center, 2GB DDR RAM, 250GB Hard Disk Drive, Dual Layer DVD Re-Writer Drive, 512MB nVidia GeForce 7500LE Graphics, 9-In-1 Media Card Reader, 7 USB Connections.

Just bought it in store from PC world, not sure if it is available the same price online.

last week i purchased a dell pc for £475

intel core 2 duo e6300 1.86ghz processor, 12 month warranty, 20" dell widescreen monitor worth £270 alone

    1gb ddr2 memory, 160gb hard drive, 16X dvd-rw, 256mb nvidia geforce graphics card, 6 usb connections

it was £525 but i got £50 quidco cashback so £475 total

i may sell the dell 20" monitor as we already have a 19" packard bell monitor which is plenty big enough. i hope to sell for around £200 which means the computer would have only cost approx £275!

I'm very happy for you pinkgem but that was last week! The offer from dell is over, the quico offer is over so again well done on your bargain but it really is not very useful to bang on about it.

I think this is quite a good deal if you do not need a monitor, I would certainly prefer a well specced XP MCE machine over some of the Vista based deals that are floating around at the moment.
  • ...and that's assuming you actually get your cashback from Quidco. I personally am still waiting to be paid from a transaction from Sept. And I'm not alone.
  • I'm with you Dave, a bird in the hand and all that. Barclays car insurance was cheap, but not when it didn't track. I've still got a CPW claim "ongoing" since Oct.
You can't go wrong with carpet bombing...

I dont use quidco for the same reasons as quite a few others- not paying out, their emails are the same ("we automatically chase the traders once a month") eventhough you have been trying to get your reabte for 12 months.
I now use Rpoints & they even match quidco !!! & no hassle !!!
