Direct Collections thug

Hi I had a visit from this mob yesterday, the thug who attended punched me in the chest. I immediately called the police and he told them I stamped on his car.... Lying S.O.B.
The police did nothing as one would expect with no evidence either way.
He was parked on my drive when I got home from collecting the kids from nursery 4 and 2 year old. He started being agressive, I told him to eff off, got the kids in through the door and went back out to speak to him he came up to me and hit me in the chest, I told him I was going to call the police and he said, I'll just tell them you scratched my car....
They attended took statements and basically told him to leave which he did and left themselves.
I copied the letter on here regarding harassment and sent it by email as they have repeatedly called and visited and made threats of violence twice previously.
I have asked the company 6 times for the name of the person that came out and the details of the court he is registered with but they refuse to give it to me.
I could do with some advice on action to take next. I am not going to let this drop as this guy was a big aggressive bloke driving a brand new BMW thinking he could do whatever he wanted.
P.S. this is the third time the police have been called because of them and they still act as they want, lie and do whatever they want.
They have issued a Stat Demand incidentally about a month or so ago. The demand was issued for an incorrect amount which they subsequently agreed was wrong and sent me written and email confirmation they had made an error.
I am at a bit of a loss as to what to do now. Go and buy CCTV for when they undoubtedly return and make more threats?!?
Any procedural advice would be greatly received. I also want to lodge a complaint with the court he is registered with to try and help his future victims in having a previous record of which as they are unprovable will amount to allegations of violence only. Even this I have to hope will help someone that they end up menacing and hitting in the future.

You now need to make an appointment with the Duty inspector at the police station, take a copy of the harassment letter you have served and ask him to take a statement about the assault and to fill in a official complaint about the lack of police action in regard to the assault and make it quite clear that if the duty inspector does not meet with you you will contact your MP and the Chief constable .
make it clear you have served them with a notice of harassment which they have ignored then assaulted you and demand they take action.
Second thing to do now is to contact a solicitor with you diary of events and ask the solicitor to obtain an injunction with power of arrest under stalking legislation and the protection of harassment act 1997 ordering the muppets of this company to remain 500 meters from your home and 100 meters from your person at all times.
The served notice of warning of harassment is enough on its own to instigate actions.
Legal aid may be available.
The injunction is quite easy to obtain, just a couple of forms, a affidavit to sign and one very brief court appearance to swear the affidavit is truth.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Unfortunately I only sent the notice after yesterdays activity. I assume to progress to injunction I will have to wait for them to break the harassment notice by telephoning or attending the property?0

Keep a copy on you at all times, not in the printer, or a drawer somewhere, one in the car, one in your shopping bag and sending it by e.mail is worthless you must hand it to someone or place it at their feet if they refuse, it matters not what they do with it, they can make origami shapes, just that it is served on them.
And if they park on your drive again, block them in and do not move until the police have arrested them for aggravated trespass, or the car stay blocked in.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Get yourself a tape recorder incase he does come back then call the police if he makes a threat to touch 1 hair on your head.

I actually think you have shown admirable self restraint. I would have visited wherever the office was, slashed his tyres and poured paint stripper over his gleaming BMW.
Or something similar......0 -

On a similar ILK - I had problems with an upstairs neighbour in the same building as me.
I ended up using my phone to record him giving verbal abuse and threatening me (he was never physically violent)
I managed in the end to get the police to issue a harassment order against him - which lasts a year and if he breaks the terms of it - I basically call the police and they arrest him and take him away.
Seems to have really solved things.
Might be worth mentioning that to the police and seeing if you can get one issued against him.Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!0 -
Better still, if you can get it issued against his employer. Not sure you can though.Treacle1983 wrote: ».... Hi,
I know this is an old thread and it seems that nothing was resolved.
I would like to mention that we as a business have been forced to employ the services of Direct Collections recently, as every other avenue has produced nothing in getting our outstanding debts to be paid.
The easy way to avoid people like these turning up on your doorstep asking you to pay is PAY YOUR DEBTS IN THE FIRST PLACE! simples.....
I cannot stand whinging idiots who blatantly avoid paying for goods and services and then expect the public and Police to protect them when faced with the reality of their actions.
Why don't you give the details of your debt in the first place indicating why someone has resorted to having to use Face to Face Collection agencies to recover outstanding debt.
Also, these type of collection agencies are registered with the Courts as Bone-Fide Bailliffs.
Absolutely no pity for you at all.0 -

You dont know the situation the OP was/is in.0
