Do I have 'association' regardless of not being on bills nor sharing an account?

Was having a chat with someone today and he said that my credit rating would be affected because I share an address with someone on a DMP (Mr BR) and the fact that we didn't have a joint bank account or any joint bills wouldn't make any difference? Is that right?
One of the reason that we didn't chose a joint account when Mr BR opened his basic account was to avoid my credit rating being affected.

No, if you have no joint finances whatsoever (accounts, bills etc) then your credit rating won't be affected at all by sharing an address with Mr BR .

Thanks. That's what I'd thought but he put doubt in my mind as he seemed very sure.
It's not even that I'm that bothered by keeping mine clean as I'm pretty certain it's black from my past anyway, but after trying to keep finances separate on purpose, it would have been a bit of a pain to discover that it made no difference.
