I'd have gone in and covered it with cash this afternoon or tomorrow morning, like I always do. They know I get paid on weird dates each month and they're always ok with a day or two of lateness.. now they do this
..
surely if your always a day or to late it's your responsibility to change the dates of your direct debits - if you knowingly leave dd's set up when you think there's a good chance you won't have the money it's not a great surprised the bank charge you?
you did know in advance it could be a problem and could have stopped it yourself rather than ranting at the bank afterwards.Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.0 -

Isn't it time this was dropped? I don't understand why some here feel the need to keep grinding on and on.....

Hi there Ethal
Not really to the point, but if you are on a low income, have you thought about approaching the DSS for help with travel costs? Or social services? I know that there used to be a reimbursement scheme, but don't know if it still runs? You don't say what your child has, but perhaps one of the children's charities could help out with travel costs? Or your union if you are in one?
Also with regard to your work, is there any way they could pay you more regularly. It seems pretty hard on you that you have varying payment dates.
Or perhaps it is time to look for a new job?
best of luck sorting this out
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks chev
I've enquired about help with travel but never got a response and to be honest there's been so much other stuff going on I just left it. Found out today that daugher is likely to be in hospital for at least another monthsSo it's definitely something I'll need to look into properly now.
I don't think I'd be able to find a job which would be willing to give me as much time off as I need at random times for hospital meetings and so on.. no employer is going to tolerate me having to be off on monday afternoon, then again on thursday and possibly friday too.. on a regular basis, so I'm better off with what I'm doing now for the time being, it's not a fantastic situation but it'll have to do.☆ §ügÅr cØÅTëÐ pØï§Øn ☆
