Lowell & HBOS

I have a debt with HBOS which I was paying by means of monthly payments to Intrum Justicia. When IJ stopped replying to my correspondence I stopped making the payments and eventually received a letter from Lowell who said that they had purchased the debt and required payment. I wrote to Lowell noting their interest and asking that they send me a statement of account showing that the payments I had made to IJ had been taken account of in arriving at the balance requested.
After some months they sent a statement but the payments appearing on that bore no resemblance to the payments I had been making and therefore I had no means of reconciling the balance due. I have queried this with Lowell who are maintaining that the statements provided are sufficient to evidence that the debt exists and that if I require more detail I need to make a DSAR request to HBOS.
Lowell have also asked me to send copies of the receipts I have for the payments I have made.
I am not actually disputing that the debt exists, but I want to be sure that the balance requested takes account of payments made. I am reluctant to make the DSAR request as I think it is Lowell’s responsibility to prove the amount requested. I am also reluctant to send them copy receipts as I don’t trust them not to simply make a statement up from that!
What should I do?

are they a few days different?Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
