So, i am and have been with CCCS for a few years now.
They have been ok up until the last couple of years when it has come to updating my plan.
Last year they were extremely pushy in getting me to up my payment.
I gave in and said ok.
I am now dreading this years plan again because i am already pushed to my limit with this plan in place.
Somehow moneyexpert.com have got my mobile number.
They called me today and have said that they can offer a debt settlement plan, for the same if not slightly less.
They will write off 35% of the outstanding debt and try and claim ppi from them as well if they can which in turn will reduce my debt and my debt free date will come round sooner.
It all seems a bit too good to be true but need some advice or just someone to talk to about this.
Has anyone else used moneyexpert.com? or considered using them?
i look forward to hearing peoples opinion on this.
thanks

Gem Gem Gem, these kind of companies charge a monthly fee or would take a monthly fee from the amount you pay, thus increasing your Debt Free Date.
You should contact CCCS now and speak to someone, also mention the above. Ie You feeling pushed into your payments being increased.
And you know what they say about things that sound too good to be true............

Jcg,
I asked them what do they charge, he definitely said nothing.
I told him it sounds too good to be true but he reassured me that they don't charge!
Going to call CCCS and sort it with them.
The PPI claim thing looks like a lot of hard work to sort yourself!0 -
Hey,
Honestly, I think you know deep down that it is simply too good to be true, and that's the case I'm afraid.
Talk to CCCS and see if you can come to an agreement about the amount you pay - tell them you felt pressured into it last time. You could also talk to Payplan, I'm not sure their budgetting will be any different, but its a free dmp provider just like CCCS.

you were lied to
moneyexpert terms & condition from their website
You will be charged the Fees in accordance with section 3, as more particularly detailed in the Fees Schedule.
What You will pay
Monthly Fees
3.1 You will pay to Us each Monthly Fee.
Initial Fee
3.2 You will also pay an Initial Fee. This Initial Fee will usually be paid with monies withdrawn from the Client Account by Us.
if the bloke on the phone lied to you about that, then cant imagine he was very truthful with the rest either0 -
