Pregnant & suicidal- no longer suicidal thanks to you guys, still need some help pls

Hey Guys,

I'm sure a few of you remember me as the above when I was completely in the gutter, my cheating husband had left me holding the baby & homeless & was living in what was essentially 'my house' with his mistress.
My baba is almost a year old now & thanks to all your support we got there <3
I need some advice please, the saga is still rumbling on...
My marital home hasn't sold, (please no comments about it being overpriced because it's only on for the price of the outstanding mortgage & a surveyor valued it at 23k more than the asking price recently) we had a deed of trust to say it was my house which the ex was disputing but now he's had a change of heart & just wants off the mortgage.
I desperately want to have the house back & live there with my Little one but unless I get the mortgage in my own sole name the ex won't let me.
I applied for a change of parties 2 months ago, the mortgage co just got back to me today stating I failed the credit score even after requesting employers refs etc.
I'm a single parent & I work full time, I have a fairly good job etc.
But I have defaults from arrangements when I was on mat leave & on zero pay these aren't cleared yet as I only returned to work last month.
When I applied to get the mortgage it my own name they assured me they would take this into account as I had to get the arrangements in order to make sure my mortgage was paid on time which it was, I've never missed a payment in 12 years with them.
I feel they are now penalising me for making a sensible decision along with CCCS to make repayment arrangements in order to pay my mortgage with them.
Again I don't want lectures about having defaults I know I have them & I understand credit scoring but do you think it's worth complaining about the decision given the circumstances itS now either let me take the mortgage over or repossess.
Thanks Guys x

    Debt-free and Proud!
This isn't a situation I've ever been in so I don't have an experience or knowledge to offer. I am bumping this up though as I'm sure someone will be able to advise you xx

I would complain especially if you have this in writing / dates and times of phone calls so they can check the phone recordings. Whether it will do any good is another matter. Have you tried all mortgage companies or just the one you have the mortgage with currently?

    Thanks guys x
I am waiting for a letter from them to formally tell me they have declined me before I can do anything...
I contacted a sub prime mortgage broker to see whether it would be worth applying elsewhere & he basically laughed at me & told me to stop wasting his time :(
I was going on the angle with my current provider that Ive been with them 12 years, never missed a repayment & only got the defaults with other companies so I could carry on my mortgage repayments with them (which is true) I took advice from CCCS to do this & it's not like I'm just somebody who couldn't be bothered to pay credit cards etc, I have paid them just reduced amounts.
I was thinking faced with the choice of repossession or taking a chance on me continuing to be a good customer they'd go for the latter but they don't seem to want to do either so I'm stuck in limbo :(
