They are not a "major" Bank.
They are not even a Bank.
The organisation referred to, entered liquidation in November 2011.The news that is not getting reported on the BBC
Yes, because it is made up rubbish repeated from a lunatic fringe blog.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0

They seem to be a strange outfit as they are franchises (I think anyway, my Italian is rubbish)

2 things make me think they're not a big bank:
 1. They don't have a website in English so they clearly don't want foreign business (pretty much nobody speaks Italian in international terms)
 2. I have worked in banking for 15 years and never heard of them.
Their website is in Italian but the buzzword at the top is in English! Very odd.
And the fact it doesn't actually appear to be a bank! It appears to be a trade association when I run it through Google Translate.0

I thought it was more of a Bank marathon then a run. Its the definition which is wrong, it seems much more then a quick jog anyhow0

The photo of the "closed" ATM is blatantly photoshopped - the message on the screen has been superimposed.0

I lived in Italy for 11 years and i have never heared of them, Italy has always had lots of small regional banks. Some of these are going to strougle in the current environment.0

Tell that to the Police men and everyone else who have their wages paid in to it, and now can not get their money out.
Its ok its not a major bank what are you lining up outside for.
They should have tried that with Nrock, maybe it would have worked.sabretoothtigger wrote: »I thought it was more of a Bank marathon then a run. Its the definition which is wrong, it seems much more then a quick jog anyhow
Yes and the marathon is spreading around Europe.Imagine if China started paying housing benefit the same as the UK. Half a billion people would move from the slums in tin can huts to all these new apartments they are building every year. Property prices would double from where they are now.0

It's amazing if you Google it: it's all over the nuttier of the blogs.
I would not call business insider a nuttier blog. They are not the only ones talking about restrictions on getting your money out, the funny thing is this is what makes the bank runs worse.

Not sure why we are bothering to comment.
The OP, and those like him are the type whom if they read on one of these blogs that Aliens were attacking, and had just destroyed all the Earths communication systems, knocked out the www, and had wiped out all the electricity generators. would believe the blog rather than the fact that they were still able to log onto the internet and read the nonsense 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0

To the OP ... you are missing the point entirely.
OK, all this money is being withdrawn from EU ... where do you think it is going?
 Under the mattress? WRONG!
Into the UK as Bank Deposits and as property purchases? CORRECT!
Far from a run on our Banks - we are seeing a massive INFLOW of cash!Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0
