Is this legal?

I think I know the answer but someone I know purchases through his company abroad (he is managing director) overpays the seller by an agreed amount and is then given the cash back. This can be up to £30k at a time and then keeps it stashed in secret locations and lives off the cash. This is surely illegal as well as immoral?

Sounds like embezzlement to me.0

If it wasn't illegal then it wouldn't be stashed secretly.0
