Can you recommend good vegetable chopper

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good and easy to clean small gadget that will chop vegetables like onions, potatoes, peppers etc as I often make stews, soups and vege meals but find the preparation takes so long yet getting out and cleaning the food processor is almost worse!!

Thanks

I use a slicer that are always demonstrated at markets. It's orange and you put the veg on he prongs on the guard and slide it up and down he slicer. There are different slicers. They are all v shaped. Don't know what they are called but the demonstrators chop onions carrots anything really. I use mine all the time but I think a lot of people think hey are a waste.. Make soup all the time.

The general term would be a mandolin slicer..they work well. I got a Nicer Dicer and so far it works a treat...I've done salad and fruit chopping with it..but not used it on the hard veg like carrots or potatoes yet...but it is supposed to work with those as well.

just use a nice sharp knife - it saves all that faffing about cutting things into bits to put into the gadget and then having to clean the thing.
