How old is the card? Was it always with MBNA or was it taken out with someone they bought like Alliance and Leicester?

Have you asked for a copy of your Credit Card Agreement?

MBNA don't have mine, and as such can't take me to court as pre 2007. Worth a shot, as it puts you in a better bargaining position if this is the case.

And if they do take you to court, you wont be made to pay mor e than you can afford.

Another approach is to send them a formal complaint, signed for, about being unreasonable based on the number of calls, offer you made, previous I&E forms etc. If they ignore you or fob you off, you can take to FOS which will cost them and maybe help you out a bot.
