Mortgage secured on a property abroad

Hi, Myself and my girlfriend want to get a mortgage for our first house. My girlfriend owns a couple of properties in poland and we are struggling to save up a deposit here as we are paying rent to our landlord and paying off a loan. does anyone know if it is possible to secure a uk mortgage using the properties in poland as security. We do not want to sell these properties or remortgage them in poland, (im not sure if we can remortgage as we both work over here)

Any advice woulld be great, even if its a straight NO!

NO

No way to use the properties as a deposit. Only way would be to raise cash on them which you seemingly have explored.

Thanks gms, I was clutching a straws a bit. I wish mortgage companies would take in to consideration the fact I pay my rent on time every month. Never mind, the hard way is normally the most satisfying in the end.
