Hi,

I was not sure where to post this so please move if I am wrong.

The BBC Good Food Show has started in Birmingham today. So, I thought it might be useful to make a thread like the one we had back in November.

PLEASE post all your finds from the show in this thread. It will help other people to know where to head for the best freebies.

I am there Sunday and can't wait :money:

Also please let us know if there are any booklets with vouchers on the way in this year. Last year there was not. :)

Very poor show and very small this year. Was round it in an hour.
No voucher booklets anywhere. Only a couple of vouchers to be found around the show as well - Nut stand, but they expire next week.

Only give-away was Yakult that I can think of that you could get a few of and the goody bag to collect on the way out which had an appletize, packet of tissues, tiny bottle of baileys, sachet of coffee and a miracle grow plant pot.

If you have not yet bought a ticket, really don't bother, has to be the smallest and worst show for ages.

Is this not always the case with the summer food show - It is always smaller then the main winter one ( because it is shared with the gardening show ) ? For example I cannot remember picking uip a voucher booklet at last years summer show -though there is at the winter show. .
Or are you saying it is even smaller than the normal summer food show ?

    Hi,

Did anyone go today, was there any stands that are worth visiting more than any other?

I went yesterday - nowhere near as good as the winter one and not as many bargains either, magners stall was probably the most generous samples - paid a few visits there!!! Bought a few things but no real bargains and stalls were not really open to haggling - lots of empty spaces!
Still managed to spend the whole day there though!!
Entering a few comps here and there 2020 seems my best year for wins so far:- iphone xs, limited edition whiskey, Masha and the Bear toys, newborn baby stuff, 3 x books, 12 months membership to diet app, bottle of syrup, Baby Shark singing puppet, children’s book, Nasty vegan shake x 2 packs.

When you posted that I did think you were totally wrong. However, after going today I can safely say you are absolutely right. One of the crapest show. They had just stuck seating around the show hoping people would not notice the lack of exhibitors. No good bargains. However some of the exhibitors had started to reduce stuff in the afternoon.

No goodie bag on the way out because the staff wanted to keep them for themselves. I asked if I could possible have one out of the five unopened boxes and was told to basically p*** off. So I shall be writing to the show director tomorrow. I don't think I will bother going again :mad:
  • A good question would be 'Which Good Food Show is best to go for in regard to Vouchers etc'?
