    waste of space this post

Agreed. If everyone posted a bargain and we all had to PM to find out the details then this section would be pointless.

As for not posting the details to avoid ebay sellers, how can you be so sure they wouldn't still PM!

    Waste of time.

I don't really understand why people are so critical of the way the original poster handled this. I sent him a pm and he replied promptly. I was then able to go to my local store today and while they didn't have any of the kettles in stock, at least I know I had a fair chance of picking up a bargain.

So, thanks very much to to italiastar.

I was trying to be fair, possibly not the best way, but I'm fed up of seeing posts from people saying that they've bought a load of goods with the intention of making a profit on eBay. There are then loads of posts from people who've been unable to get the item.

Thank you to those who thanked me and for your support.

As I said before, how do you know an ebay seller didn't PM you and still buy loads, it's not a fool proof method.

I checked today - no sign of them - apparently they went like hot cakes - not surprising at that price.

My local tesco - New Malden - now has loads of these - £24.99 !!! - maybe Tesco bought them from Sainsbury's to resell - price matched also by Comet.

Back up to £35 in Tescos -

So much for the person who said that it was only half price off.

The pink version of this is now £20 in Robert Dyas:

This is online, so you have to add £4.95 tot he price, but presumably it is the same price in store. They also have the matching toaster for £24.99, although I recently saw this in a Woolworths store for less than this (£20 I think).

The Morphy Richards Cream Accents Cordless Jug Kettle was reduced to clear at £18.70 in Tesco Exeter Vale today. This isn't online, so I guess it may only be in certain stores. They actually had a small section devoted to clearance electrical items, including a George Foreman Grill and some other kitchen appliances, but I didn't note down any of the prices.
