How do I know which shampoo is right for me?

I have trouble finding the correct shampoo for a man. I have used quite a few types but are not happy.

How do I know which shampoo is for me? Can a doctor tell me or do I need to buy every type of shampoo until I find it?

My sincere thanks,

The latter, I'd think, unless there's a medical problem like scalp condition, etc?

What kind of hair do you have (fine, thick, greasy, dry?) and what problems have you had with the ones you've tried so far? Perhaps some people might be able to suggest something that'll work well for you.

I used to be able to use anything, but then most shampoos started irritating my scalp - tried about 4 sulphate-free brands before I found one that suited me. Bit of a pain, but oh well. My boyfriend used up the ones that didn't suit my hair, he'll use anything haha.

Hi, which sulphate-free brand did you find suited you? I've only tried one, a sample of the new L'Oreal EverPure, and I actually love it, can't put my finger on what difference it's made but my hair just look much better! :)

I did like that one but it's a bit expensive for me to buy unless it's on offer! I use Boots Naked range now. Didn't like the volumising one but all the others I've tried are good. 2 for £6 at the moment I think, I stocked up the other day :)

Thanks! I'll definitely give that a try, got another use on a "double ad card points" voucher which expires on Saturday and was planning to do a bit of a Boots stock up then anyway :)
