Yep, got ours yesterday. Gone up by £5 a month - wish our wages would!
Don't get me started on all the pamphlets that came with it - what a waste of paper! They should just use one piece of paper outlining the rise and who gets what and say the library has copies if I want to know every detail. Which I don't as it doesn't mean anything to me, all I know is our bill has gone up. Sending all that rubbish also means the letter weighs more hence costing more to send!
End of rant!Thank you to everyone who posts comps! :A
I would like to be lucky,healthy & happy in 2020! :T0 -

£3 a month rise here so no complaints as I expected £6. I totally agree with the paper issue, I binned it without looking, such a waste.0

The leaflets are trying to promote services available from the Council, discounts you could be entitled to and outlining where the money is spent. There should be three/four being:
Local Council
County Council
Police Authority
Parish council (if you have one)
Im sure if you didnt get any you would still complain lol
4.7% here meh0 -
Don't blame the councils for most of the extra paper in the council tax bills, it's laid down in legislation what they have to send out in addition to the bill. Blame those of us who voted the various governments in; yep I'm one of those voters and I never seem to get it right!0

We are band H, (bands are different up here) , up here in Scotland we pay our water rates along with our Council tax, our total is £3015.40. It's like a second mortgage! We may be forced to downsize soon.0

I just checked the website of my local council - up by £5 per month on a B band.
As a side issue can I asked to pay over 12 months instead of ten, as I am on my own the £90 a month is a killer, £75 per months seems so much better ( not ) sorry to hi-jack your thread!

Got ours yesterday - 4.5% rise. It's annoying but I was expecting more tbh.0
