Hi,
Thats great news about Pay day Express but just ensure that you do still cancel your card and pay them by standing order only.
If they have your card details they will more than likely try and take the full owed amount at the end of the month. This happened to me even though they had agreed repayments so make sure you do change that card.0 -
Yeah totally agree with above poster I still remember the letter they sent when they said my account was froze and no futher charges would apply, urm not quite!
Glad they could discount your debt straight of when others have had such horrendous charges and situations with this company.
I only hope for your sake they stand by what they have said, on this occasion and that you spoke to someone of authority at PDE - think you'll need their name for a later date...0 -
Thank you everyone...
I have cancelled my card just in case. They asked me what my preferred method was, and i'd read the best option was to pay via standing order. So i asked them for their account details, which they have emailed me. I asked them to re-confirm in a email and letter which i received this morning, and thank god, all true to their word.
I know i am very lucky, as i know some haven't been as lucky as what i have.. i didn't meant to come across smug-like. I hope everyone does manage to sort out a reasonable plan with companies like this.
Thank you all for your support.0 -

For Wonga,
Call them and say you have lost your job, but you need to do this on the day its due around 8am in the morning, say you want to set up a repayment plan and talk it through with them, it doesn't take long and they will do it for you. Just pay what you will be able too.
They will freeze the interest and as long as you keep to the plan it will remain frozen."All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them."

i had a loan with wonga they let me pay it back over 10 months. I opened a saving account with my bank that had a bank card, canceled my main bank card. then transfered the money into the saving a few days before the payment date for the repayment amount. that way they can not take more that you have agreed to0
