Have you by any chance been in store to see if there are any decent bargains? I bought a few things in there on Sunday when it was 30% off, and am wondering whether that stuff will be 50% in the sale or not! The website doesn't seem to have the same stuff as in store :(
  • I bought my son a couple of polo tops on Friday in the 30% off and the ones I bought still seem to be 30% off online and instore.

Oh dear I shouldnt have looked :o but thanks OP got the kids some lovely bits :)
  • Hi guys, I used to work for GAP and USED find that the sale moves quite quickly from 30/50/70 % off! So if you like the item but do 'really' need it I'd say hold out and see if it goes down! generally I have for d I store to be a better choice of sale

Top tip would be to go to the smaller town shops as the bigger cities sale items go super fast where the smaller towns have a great choice!

Hurrah! There is a denim jacket I really want - and being short of cash I want it at the cheapest price!!! What is it with GAP and their constant reductions, there is pretty much always 30% off, I was reading in the paper they have big problems at the moment?
Otherwise I am off to my smaller store this afternoon, even if I have to buy the same jacket at different reductions then take them all back when I finally get it at 70% off! I went round the big stores in London at the weekend and they all had different stock in, it was quite bizarre, I would have thought they'd all carry the main lines. Thanks for the tip.

Would you say the items on site will go to 70% off any time soon? We dont have a GAP store here so am gonna look online. Some lovely things!

Hi Hulahoop, when I worked for gap 3 years ago it would take that little bit longer to go to 70%. I still shop in the same place I used to work in and my colleges tend to give me the wink although they really don't get told until 24/48 hours before! And although GAP always seem to have a Sale it's this time of year they have a big one and what I have found when shopping in the summer and winter sales that it takes about 3 weeks to get to 60/70 %! I always buy the underwear for kids as its beautiful quality and a pack of 7 goes from £15 £9.99 £7.99 and sometimes further. It's still a little expensive even at 7.99 but well worth the money as they last so long! The socks too!

Just an update to confirm no further reductions in store yet (well, not in Bath anyway as I just popped in to check). Haven't bought anything in Gap for a few years but there's some nice stuff this time so will be keeping an eye open for further reduction signs going up
