No overtime at work, but do you have the option of finding a second job elsewhere? Bar work, a couple of shifts stacking shelves at the supermarket, delivering local catalogues, anything to bring in some extra cash. £100 per month would give you much needed breathing room right now. Have a look at your local paper.

I have to ask, have you got the numbers right? You had stated that you are driving 150 miles per week for £50 per month - that is 600 miles on £50. I can get about 300 miles on a similar amount..... are you possibly underestimating your expenditure here? Or is your car unbelievably economic? :)

If not, and it's just a typo, then ignore me - however, a bit part of this process is getting your real spending under control, so you have to get the number right.

    Best of luck x

It's actually more - 650 miles per calendar month.

cpjackso, I think I may take your advise and try a friend. I think I know someone who will be able to lend me around £1000.

Just to add to this - be really careful approaching people for money as it often offends... And make sure you set a realistic goal for paying it back.. You dont want to be taking a payday loan out in a couple of months to pay your friend back.

You need to have the lightbulb moment and put all your energy into reducing this debt burden and getting yourself into a good position financially.

If your friend does come through, dont squander the opportunity and rack up any more debt.

Sorry if this sounds harsh - but I think the warnings are necessary.
