Couple of things I don't understand.

    1. A 0% APR loan? Never knew such a thing existed.
    2. How could you not know when the first payment was due? Was it not on the document you signed?
    3. Why did you cancel DD first before looking into things further?
    4. If it was an erroneous payment then why did you pay it again?

I firmly believe you will be entitled to have the loan written off and a large amount of compensation awarded to you for the unwarranted hassle you have been put to.:cool:
  • My we are a friendly bunch aren't we. I haven't explained the entire story with regards to actions I've taken to do with querying the loan payment (including calling Santander prior to cancelling DD - they were unable to confrim what the payment was). Reason I didn't was I'm not after advice in that area so maybe I mis-titled the thread. I certainly misjudged the audience.

Not going to bother responding to any of these comments as there clearly isn't any point. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

My questions were based on trying to create a bigger picture but you have chosen to ignore me.
Don't know why I bother sometimes.
