i have been meaning to phone around for a while to try and get better deals on utilities etc to keep myself on the dfw path and today i finally got around to it
today i mananged to knock £141 off my monthly outgoings with just a few phonecalls :j granted £90 of this would of stopped anyway
i phoned cahoot to find out when my loan finishes and discovered the last payment is at the end of this month so thats a £90 a month saving
i also phoned up edf energy about my gas and leccy, i have been overpaying each month for my gas and found out i am £150 plus in credit so at midnight they are paying £150 back into my account wooohoooo:j also i have dropped my gas direct debit down to £10 a month saving me £12 a month
and my electric direct debit has been dropped by £31 a month woohooo:j
i also phoned up virgin media (formally telewest)and complained about losing sky channels and have managed to secure a better deal each month. i now pay £8 a month less, have 30 more tv channels and now have free local calls for up to an hour on my telephone saving me the cost of the phone bills :j i have also cancelled my lloyds tsb credit card before they start charging £35 a year for dormant accounts.
it just shows with a little effort you can make all the difference, what with taking tips from the old style board on keeping my shopping costs down and with these savings today i can now easily save up for my forthcoming wedding to mr angchris with no problems at all, and its all thanks to this site, thank you everyone :T :T and for those that havent had a quick ring around do it now!!
