IM STUCK. Fixed term coming to an end, what should i do

    I have read the terms with halifax, i can move within the last 3 months of the end of my term and there fixed term is only between 4.0-4.2% which i think i will be happy with as there varibale rate is 3.99%

    Only overpay if you can afford it. i.e. you have a few months worth of income saved as when you overpay in most situations that money will be tied up in your house. So make sure you have some liquid cash set aside to cope with the unexpted things life can throw at you.

    As for the valuation from your lender - I'm not sure whether they will actually so a valuation survey. However, I am pretty sure that if they do require a valuation that they will arrange it (and charge you the fee)
