Tax offices?

Hello

Filling out HMRC form and says to send to your tax office. Says go to 'Contact Us' section and then 'Find Your tax office'. I can't see list of tax offices anywhere, just an address for 'Pay as you earn' in Liverpool.

Has it all been centralised now? it's for a tax rebate.

Thanks

if you are an employee then "your" office means the office that deals with your PAYE - get the address of it from your company's payroll dept (if it is not already shown on your payslip)

if you are self employed then you should already have these details

I had to write to them a couple of weeks ago, and like the OP couldn't find which office. I called them to ask and was told it's all been centralised, and so just used the PO Box 1970, Liverpool address.

Thanks. Not updated their forms then! Probably no one left working there to do it!

Once you've done that, it's a bit of a lottery if you get into further correspondence with them. I was my late father's executor 2 years ago and ended up with HMRC correspondence from Preston, Sunderland, Newcastle upon Tyne, Cardiff and Cumbernauld. Only Belfast was missing or I'd have had a UK full house. Took a year to sort out his relatively simple tax affairs.
