DMP creditors now in arrears?

Sorry to Hi-jack this thread.

I logged into my CCCS account. Payment received etc on their statement page.

I've also logged in to my online accounts to my debtors.

They all have arrears!!???

I thought going through a dmp would prevent this.

Surely CCCS would of advised my debtors that it would take over a month to set up.

As they told me that when I signed up with them.

I don't want or need any more defaults on my credit history.

    Hi

Presumably you are not paying the full contractual amount, hence the DMP? In this case they are often referred to as arrears even though a payment arrangement is in place.

If you are on a DMP defaults are good and the earlier you get them the better as they can only apply once to each account and the sooner you have them the sooner they are off.

There is a thread to talk to a CCCS rep if you are interested.

Good luck and I hope you have a smooth start up

Yes HH is right, you will have defaults, arrears and arrangements to pay on your credit file. The point of a DMP is not to protect your credit rating, it is there to provide a simple way to pay back your debts.

Forget about the credit rating ( it's only a marketing tool for banks anyway) , its shot to pieces now and just concentrate on living on a budget. Pay your debts and work towards that day when your debt free.

Anything else is just noise and not worth worrying about.
