Monday 11th June - What small DFW things will you do today??!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Heyo everyone!
So glad to hear you energetic and full of beans, Ziggs! What a difference a few months makes.
Karb, how are you doing today?
Hugs and all to others.
Have a friend visiting from the UK so had a cheapish weekend away - drove the motorbikes out to the source of the Nile (about $8 worth of fuel for a good 10 hrs of riding, love those things!), stayed in a dorm and then back yesterday. unfortunately she hadnt gotten around to exchanging any cash so I spotted her for everything and am now quite broke! Hopefully she'll find a forex and pay me back today.
Going to Nairobi tomorrow for work, so hopefully wont spend much for the rest of the week
Anyway today:
- bike everywhere I need to go
- finish up at work with everything I need done for the week
- email accountant about tax stuff
- print off contract for consulting gig, hopefully find some place to scan it and send back
- roommie making dinner, will buy some vino to contribute
- pack for trip
- plan workload for next few weeks as it will be madness.
hugs to all!Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Yargo, you will sparkle, yes you will!:happylove
I've cheered up a bit, had one of those moments when the choice was a) huge rant b) laugh at the absurdity of it all. Thank goodness I chose b (although as I was stationary in the car any pedestrians witnessing the event must have thought I was nuts).
The rain here is now un.be.liev.able. Roll on the school run, must find my oars!:DMake £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Good afternoon everyone. It is a dry and warm day here although a bit overcast.
Ziggy – Thanks for starting us off today
Little Pink Purse – Happy Birthday and Wedding Anniversary
Over the weekend I have decided to stop taking my anti-inflammatory tablets as they were of no benefit and giving me awful side effect (I felt like I was on a different planet) so the weekend was not very productive, although I didn’t go out of the house so it was a no spend weekend.
Today has not been very money saving however I have now got almost everything organised for dd’s party, all I need to do now is food shopping (I think). DH is away to a meeting with his boss, which could hopefully see him get some regular hours and a pay increase (could that be a small light I see at the end of a very long tunnel).
Tonight I will:
:)Catch up with emails
:)Make a shopping list and do an online shopMake the roast for dinner
:)Do m.shopping work that is in for today
:)Discuss work related meeting with dh
:)Do some studying and sort out study plan
:)Look into management degree that I am interested in and see if I could get any assistance with course fees
:)Check and water plants
:)Complete surveys and check one poll
:)Raise invoices for work
:)Update work lists and make to do list for tomorrow
:)Make a list of what still needs to be done dd’s party
I think that is everything for today. Hope everyone is having a good MondayAiming to get Debt Free.0
