Credit Cards (Minimum Payment)

Have a Capital One Credit Card.

Balance is £101 due to be taken on 1.7.2012.

Minimum payment is £5. If I make this payment, what am I then likely to owe on the next payment date?

Could afford to pay the full balance, but if I could make the minimum and not be affected too much by it (interest) then it would help me this month due to moving house.

  • In that case, on your next statement, your balance would be £98.50.

You need to be careful if the Capital One CC is outside of your DMP. I believe all unsecured debts are meant to be included and if they aren't it could be seen that you are giving them preference!
  • It is a secured card. Does that matter?

  • In that case I think you're okay as secured debts can't be included in a DMP.
