Hi Diary
Went to Asda this morning and spent a bit but we are having a bit of a gathering tomorrow so that buffet stuff too. Got a new shower mat because ours was a positive health hazard, coated in black mould yuk.
Other than that we've spent much of the day trying to make the place look presentable. It is undergoing extensive renovation so not everything has a home an dthe place is generally dusty (filthy). It's not too bad now but DH is working on our bedroom, I am babysitting and cooking a gammon and very little revenue generating work has been done.
Was thinking today that I should really go back to the budget and see what's what. We need really to be living on the minimum if we are to shift a lot of debt. At the moment it appears any spare money is just whatever I can manage to earn, which is fine but means we are using £1850 per month just in basic living expenses. I should probably do an SOA to see what is what.
The good news is I sorted all my clothes and shoes out yesterday and today and I have a good little pile for ebay. Some of it is Hobbs, Jigsaw etc and looks like I may be able to get a fair bit for them after having a look at similar sold items today. Also have a set of unused limited edition GHD's so hoping I can get a good price for those too!I'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
Today was lovely. We had our small family gathering. No reason for it, just a nice get-together as our lives are so busy these days, especially with all the new children in the family!
Our house is also as sparkling as it will ever get whilst undergoing work. Me and DH really out our backs into it. It still looks a tip to an untrained eye but to us it's shiny and lovely, because we spent so long on it haha.
Today I splashed out £30 on a second hand Maclaren buggie for holiday and something lightweight for shops etc. Really pleased with it as these last forever and I've saved over £150 by not buying it new! It's relly nice, just what I wanted but couldn't justify buying. Just needs a bit of TLC. It is so much lighter than my three wheeler travel system and I can't wait to try it out properly tomorrow.
I'm so close to the end of the ongoing business project now that I've put is as a priority on my to-do list for tomorrow. I just want it done and gone as it is just dragging on. WIll be glad of the money but bou, has it been hard to find the time. I think I will refuse client work for a little while and just pick and choose agency work to bring in money. I'll pick up client work again when I can really devote myself to it without neglecting everything else in my life :jI'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
Mornign all, Happy Monday!
Boy this weather is terrible. I cannot believe it is July. How very depressing! We've had a decent sleep - booboo woke up at 7am so that's not bad at all, although we didn;t go back to bed as we would uf e awoke earlier.
Today I must nail that business project. I just want to get it finished, it's been dragging on for two months now and I'm desparate to invoice.
I also want to test out the new Maclaren so we'll be going on a long walk if it cheers up a bit out there. I plan to walk off the baby weight I still have and the new weight I'm steadily accumulating.
Housework wise, I need to sort out the shared bedroom (ours is being renovated currently). Change all the bedding, wash the beddign, dust and clean and vacuum.
Hope everybpdy has a great, cheap and productive Monday xI'll have some cheese please, bob.0 -
Hope the watcher is good where you are to test drive the buggy.. It's not stopped raining here for hours. :-(0

In response to the first post, regarding bottled water.... Have you considered buying a water filter, that way you be sure that the water is free of impurities, heavy metal etc at a fraction of the cost of bottled water.0
