Halifax Total Mortgage Protection

I have been with the Halifax for 12 years now and I took out the TMP when i got the mortgage.
My wife has now been made redundant and this was not included on the policy when i took the cover out.
I am paying £71 per month for a mortgage of approx 81,000 with 10 years to go.
With us being one income down, time to tighten our belts and was hoping for a bit of advice if i should change the mortgage protection as i think i could get it cheaper elsewhere.
Any advice appreciated.

Halifax wont be cheap. Banks never are. If you are of clean health then by all means see if you can get it cheaper. Just dont cancel the old one until on risk with the new one.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
