Hello everyone, after reading MSE for nearly to five years,my first post.
ok, I was in a DPM for four and a half years (cccs) who are brilliant.
I finished my DMP in March this year,so thinking i was debt free at last, happy it's was over.
About five weeks ago, i got a letter from RBS, saying i still owe around £2,500 pounds, i phoned the cccs to get copies of all my payments to them.sent these off to the address i had for them.
Nothing happen for four weeks, then i got two letters back saying i still owe them money.
I ask for a list of what and when i owed this money (told it would cost me £140.00 to get a complete list of everything) i said no way and i don't owe you any money. They will send me a list, which they will put on the bill. I said no,
Has this happen to anyone here, what should i do-now
any help would be so great.
I'm not to sure if this is the right place to put this post.
Thank you for reading. What to do next.

Sorry to hear this. What a mare.

What did CCCS do as part of the close down. Have you raised this with them on the ask CCCS thread?

Were you getting statements from CCCS and RBS?

Please let us know how you get on

  • I am sorry to hear about your situation. It's not fair at all.

I think you may need the list. Can you not just approach the lender and request a list of payments since X, then compare this with your own records.

Let us know how it goes. Sure you will get it sorted :D

could you have been charged interest from RBS, you need a sars, which will be £10.00. we also come up with this with Barclay card. it is so hard, when after a dmp, either with cccs or pay-plan. I would raise the fact you may not had any statememts from RBS,or did cccs as for a final figure, from all creditors when you was near the end.. good luck with this issue

£140...............oh they do make me laugh. Cretins.

£10 is what it will cost you for a Subject Access Request which will give you everything they hold on you. Idiots.

Also.........I understand they are required by law (ammendments to the consumer credit act 2006) to provide statements upon request. This costs nothing.

Remind them of this fact when you write to them. (assuming this is covered by the CCA and its not an overdraft).

Are RBS telling lies I wonder? Not like a bank to lie though, is it.......

It's like anything to do with debt. They have to provide the proof of indebtedness not you.
