"Financial Difficulties
Santander recognise that customers may find themselves in debt at some time and not know what to do or who to turn to for help. We are committed to treating customers sympathetically and positively when they are experiencing difficulties and a big part of this is to do our best to help those who are having problems with their debts. This website is designed to help you by providing helpful information if you are facing problems with your debt.
As a customer of Santander we are here to provide help and advice about your finances at any time. If you are worried that you may be starting to have financial difficulties, or are already having problems with your debt, it is important that you speak to us as soon as possible. If you do so we will do everything we can to help you solve your problems. We understand that financial problems can be complicated and worrying. We are here to talk to you about your borrowings with Santander and help with your debt problems. And we will always try to take account of other debts you may have too (for example your household bills, council tax).
It is important to know that there a number of places that provide free and impartial debt advice. These organisations are not associated to Santander and can help you to manage your creditors and debt problems - please see the links on this page to find out more."
