Opticians!

Hi all,
Need an eye test, as I can barely see in the dark now, and driving in the dark is virtually impossible (can't see anything except car headlights which dazzle me!)
I can claim the cost of the eye test back from my company, but I need to be careful who I go to, as I may need glasses. Basically, who's cheapest/best for glasses? I'll book my eye test with them, just in case I do need them!

I don't know who the cheapest for glasses is but I know that out of all the opticians I have tried D&A are the best for a thorough test (if you can claim the money for the test back, you may as well go there for the test)
Once you have had the test done, there is no obligation to get your glasses from them - They give you a copy of your perscription and then you can get the glasses from anywhere.
I have heard that some of the online glasses sites are good (about £15 a pair) but I haven't used them myself so can't really comment.
Hope this Helps youSealed Pot Challenge Member Number #19060 -
Hi Susie,
Speaking from experience, I would advise visiting ASDA if you have an optician in the store. They were very good with the eye test (in fact I was told that all the other opticians I had visited in the last 10 years or so had been giving me the wrong prescription - making it stronger when it should have been weaker!) and the glasses were reasonable too.
Have had bad experiences with D & A, Specsavers and Vision Express.
Best wishes

I go to Specsavers. I also get my money back from my work. I have never had any problems with Specsavers at all. They are always friendly etc.
Also, I wear contact lenses which I also get from them. Because I am on their pay monthly scheme, I got my glasses half price.
Have you considered contact lenses
