Nationwide 'Soft Search'

Hi all
Sorry if I am starting a new thread, Im looking for a loan of £1500 over 2 years for new furniture for a new flat I am moving into. I have a 'poor' credit rating due to 1 Overdraft default due to my employer becoming insolvent and another loan which I cleared which will drop off my Credit File in August. I have two notices of correction.

I applied with Nationwide, and the soft search quoted me 24.9%, now after reading this forum (which is great btw) this means an automatic decline? Anyway, I proceeded to see what would happen and I signed the online pre-contractual agreement and entered my bank details - it now states a decision will be made in two days time by writing.

What do you think my chances are? I am not holding out much hope

Thanks x

TBH I would expect a declined letter soon as stated you have a default and you've applied for a loan from a mainstream prime lender.

You wont get a loan from a prime lender with a default on your report.
