Sat & Sun 9th & 10th June - What small DFW things will you do today??!
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!

Good morning everyone. Its quite on here this morning is it not?
Little Pink Purse – Thanks for starting us off this morning
I didn’t get around to posting yesterday as I spent all day in work and then last night I helped dm to sort present for dd.
My list for today:- Due to the weather I have decided that kids and me are going to have a pyjama day therefore no showers. – saving on gas
- Check emails and deal with anything that is urgent
- Collect up washing and dull the full loads. I think it will need to be hung on the airer today, as it is rather dull and overcast outside.
- Dust around the house, I will do the hovering on Monday when dh is off work as dd doesn’t like the noise of the hoover.
- Check freebies board
- Sort meal plans for next week
- Check for surveys and check one poll
- Update food diary as I forgot to do it yesterday
- Update work lists for this month and organise what needs to be done next week
- Do m.shopping work that is in for today
- Sort invites and thank you cards - Post
- Do some course work – will aim to cover some Chemistry and English today. Going to study tonight instead of going out.
- Read some of the book that I am reviewing for English course
- All meals from stores – sandwiches for lunch and chicken and chips for dinner
- Order Fathers day presents and cards
- Look out kids cooking books and decide on food for dd’s party and make a shopping list
- NSD apart from Fathers day present but these have been budgeted for
- Quality time with dd

Hi everyone
A manic weekend of installing new software ready for people to start working on Monday, and I'll be the technical support next week too. I'm in the Leeds office, arriving last night, and going back on Friday.
Most of tomorrow's work can be done remotely, so I'm considering going home this evening and travelling back up tomorrow evening, but its 3 hours each way, so I'll just have to see how I feel when I get finished tonight.
All being well, it should turn out to be a NSD (except for what I claim on expenses). Spent £42 at dinnertime getting pizzas and stuff in for the team, but I can claim that back. I cant claim for alcohol though, so if the pub calls then my plans for a NSD may just go out of the window.
Other than that, its just mundane stuff from me - raiding the hotel room of coffee and toiletries, charging phones at work, hotel breakfast, meals on expenses, checking online banking etc.
Have a good weekend everyone.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0
