OK guys bit of a mess happening here.
My fixed rate is due to end but I'm with Halifax and they are only offering two year fixes at 3.99%.
Last time I remortgaged I was free of unsecured debt I now have approx £12k on credit cards
I earn £27k and my LTV is a conservative 60%.
I've also stupidly had a couple of late payments due to a mix up on my credit card, that's my only adverse but I know how picky they are being these days.
Is there any point me trying to get a longer rate elsewhere or am I stuck?

Suggest you get over to the Debt Free Wannabe board and consider having a light bulb moment.
Days of easy lending and debt consolidation are over.
No easy get outs now. Just darn hard work.0 -

Thanks for your advice, I didn't mention debt consolidation."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0
