If Tesco are cancelling orders they are being silly.
The current competition includes
Asda 2 person tent £12
Argos £10
There are lots of tent bargains to be had in outlet stores at the moment too.0 -

DS had a gelert pop up for Leeds fest last year. It lasted all of 24 hours in the first day of rain and wind and he ended up sleeping in with his mate.
These are fab in good weather, or even a shower, but any decent storm and you are going to get wet.0 -
I'm not a camper, give me a caravan any day, but in a storm, wouldnt ALL tents make you wet?:rotfl:pulliptears wrote: »DS had a gelert pop up for Leeds fest last year. It lasted all of 24 hours in the first day of rain and wind and he ended up sleeping in with his mate.

The trouble with these pop ups is they are small and adults tend to be, well adult sized. You only have to touch the skin of the tent in a storm and its going to leak.
He didn't get wet in his mates tent, which was a more expensive tent so no, all tents wont leak in a storm.
All I'm saying is these cheap tents are aimed at Festival Goers, which is all well and good until it starts raining. They just don't fair well in your average British Summertime. If you want to stay dry it's best to invest in something a little more waterproof.0 -

No, a decent tent should stand up to most storms, if pitched properly and with care. We camped for a week in Cornwall a couple of years ago and the rain lashed down for 2 days, yet we were lovely and dry in our tent. In fact, there was a caravan on site that left early as they had a leak :rotfl:
The problem is, a pop up tent isn't designed for anything other than a day or two in glorious sunshine, which is something we are a little short on in the UK!0
