best price for Rechargeable batteries?

Options
Anyone know of a good deal for rechargeable batteries - preferably the high capacity AA ones such as 2300 or 2500 mAh particularly for my power hungry digital camera - though others as well may come in handy-

Maplins quite often have 3 ftpo 2... I got some before xmas, 'C' type, but I believe the AAs were the same price so it would've been 12 for £11.98.

Also, I recently bought some EverReady rechargable PP3s for £1.50 each from the Boots reduced section. They had some AAAs for £2.99 / 4 but I doubt if they are still there?

I have used these people, at the time of ordering price was competitive and service was excellent. Not sure how prices compare now

Unfortunately batterysave don't appear to use an encrypted secure page for credit card orders - naughty.

    I found these http://www.vapextech.co.uk/acatalog/High_Power_Consumer_Batteries.html

    4 x 2500 plus fast charger just 12.50 + 2.00 post = 14.50

    - Will go for that unless anyone can beat it?
  • I got mine from the pound shop AA and AAA, you get two NIMH batteries or 4 of the NI-CAD batteries,
I bought them for my girls mp3 players at christmas [to be honest i didnt think they would be any good] but they are still working now and there charged every night, they also sell the charger the same make, well worth having if only for spares/back up.

wilkos uniross 4 x AA were buy one pack get one free £4.49 but I dont know if the offers still on, I use these all the time in my digital camera with lcd and zooms, and they last a long time.

I got 6 uniross 1800 mA + charger for about £12 from Jessops, this was a couple of months ago mind. I agree with previous comments regarding their durability.
Fiscal drag, that's my problem. Too many people dragging on my fiscals.
