Lots and lots of free (and legal) new music

South by Southwest festival is all the way in Austin, Texas - but it's where a lot of bands from all over the world get discovered and start to make it big.

For those who can't make it there, they've again released a whole load of MP3s from bands who are appearing. So far, there are 739 songs, a 3.1GB download.

I've still not got around to listening to all of last year's - where there were tons of bands I'd never heard of (some of which were rubbish, but some were really really good), and a whole bunch of songs which made it big during the past year.

All this Reading and Leeds Nme festival rubbish makes me hurl.

All the bands are so good, and it's great to see that the music industry still can support things that don't just sound like *spit* Razorlight *spit*....
