Over charged on postage?

Options
Hey, I just managed to get 2 tickets for the athletics at olympic park in aug, However, for some reason I've been charged £18 for postage????

"Your delivery cost: £18.00
Your delivery method: Domestic secure mail"

even international shipping isn't this expensive so i don't know how I'm being charged this for delivery within england??

Also, there is no email to contact anyone and the lines won't accept any callers.

where did you buy the tickets from? Is it likely to be a 3rd party site that scammed you?

I bought it from the official olympic ticketing website
  • I have also been overcharged today for "Domestic" delivery (I live in the UK). I was charged £12 instead of the correct (though extortionate) £6.

Try using tickets.london2012.com/contactus (preceded by the 3 w's, of course). Somehow I found this URL although there doesn't seem to be any link for it in the website...

    Good luck!

(This London 2012 website is a shambles, I've had many problems with it.)

    Same here.

I bought a ticket for the Orbit and had to pay an extra £6 postage even though I have already paid £6 for the postage for the games tickets anyway and surely they could stick them both in the same envelope.

Now I find I have been charged £12. What do I do?

I wouldn't recommend phoning, I tried to get through and was on hold for well over 1hr until i gave up.

This is a joke? if every other company in the uk manage to charge the correct price, how does LOCOG manage to mess it up?

I understand there is a high demand ... but there is high demand for products like iPhones and so on ... they don't charge more than they quote.
