Fathers day ideas on a budget?

I've actually got a baby due ON fathers day (my first) - But I still like to get my Dad something, he likes useful things and he pretty much likes drinking, going to the gym, golf and going to exotic places (errr the most exotic thing he'll get from me is a pina colada at Wetherspoons)

Depending on what he likes to drink could you make him a hamper up of a few bottles of real ale/mini liquours/spirits/wines. Perhaps with a book about chosen drink.

Asda has some beers / lagers in and they`re reduced . Beers from around the world, I think theres was 4 in a pack for a £1 or a pack of three glen fiddick whisky minutes reduced to £5.

Alternatively, depending on what he drinks goto home bargains and get different drinks and make an hamper yourself with drinks, luggage labels, travel guides etc

I have come across lots of free printables that would make nice gifts once framed. Just google "Fathers Day free printable"

I have found an image of a tree trunk, which once printed I will get my boys to handprint the leaves and then frame it.
  • I noticed in Sainsburys on Friday that they had reduced their 'Jubilee' packs of British beers to £3.49. I think there were three largish bottles of beer in a nice presentation box. With all the 'Jubilee' stuff.

These are a good novelty gift when you just can't think of anything, personalise it by changing the drop down bars to the left for the theme and enter the persons details and picture. They do a father of the year one for fathers day too

Jordanchaos, you're in Brighton right? Have you thught about some hotel chocolat chocolates as they have a store down the lanes. You probably wont be able to find pina colada but... they have what they called selector packs, 6 chocs or a mini slab per pack and quite a few are alcohol chocolates. They are very moreish and would go lovely in a hamper :)

If you're in Brighton, why not pop to Lewes and get some different beers from the Harveys shop. They've always got something good in :D
