Well, that is the last time we bother sending anything first class through the mail. We sent a small parcel second class, 300g (£2.20 :eek:) on Saturday. Sent from Camberley (in Surrey) to Cumbria. It arrived this morning :rotfl::rotfl: Sent a first class letter on the same route a few weeks ago and it took 4 days :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I agree, what sort of message is this sending to the illegal driver? Drive offs should be investigated for that reason alone, totally legit drivers are unlikely to do a runner!I think it's this joke of a government who need to be blamed, not the Police. It's the same story throughout the country, cut-backs. Look at the armed forces, just had another lot of redundancies to supposedly save money.
I know from personal experience that the people taking redundancy will be getting a large lump sum of tens of thousands of pounds and a pension paid from the day they leave. Their jobs at the UK based units then get contracted out to large civilian companies who charge a hell of a lot more than any Serviceman would ever get.

Cuts, cuts, cuts (I should add an 'n' to that word) - that's what it's all about with these jokers.
Unfortunately Bubbs' situation is going to get more and more common.:(
of course if the previous administration hadn't spent all the money......:mad:Was wondering how many !!!!!! west I.T staff are getting fired and if T might be tempted to employ them.
On C.V. : Can create a glitch that goes on for days.

Hi Bubbs, uninsured drivers, the bain of modern Britain, wonders how other countries deal with this issue. ?
Have you had the ambulance chasers asking you about injury claims yet ?
FWIW my mirror got taken off last year, driver didnt stop, my premium went up :mad::mad:
This is what im dreading, so thats another thing to add to my long list of peed off :rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks again everyone for all the support and lovely pm's. :Tsorry to hear about your accident hun
Thanks
were there any witnesses to what happened? yes but she didnt get reg
If so, then demand the police take action.
18 mths ago, my next door neighbours daughter came to visit him...she indicated to turn into his drive...and another car drove up the kerb past 3 houses, smashed into her car (turning it an extra 45 degrees), smashed the front bumper off and then drove off. The car had to be towed away and was written off.
I was on my drive and saw it happen. I rang the police and checked my neighbours daughter was ok (just very shaken).....2 phonecalls later the police arrived, they had driven the other way round our street and stopped evey driver...they found the driver further down our street (round the corner so we didnt see her)...she said she'd heard a bang but didnt realise she'd hit the car  ...(find it hard to believe she didnt notice the other car with the bumper hanging off in her rear mirror!)....I told the police what I'd seen ...they brought the lady over to us and she admitted it was her fault....I asked the police to charge her with dangerous driving for driving up the kerb ( I have 2 DDs that walk on that pavement)....they refused saying as she'd admitted liability they could sort it out amongst themselves and insurance companies.
Once that fiasco began, the driver changed her story, refused liability, no police records to confirm she had admitted to them it was her fault....in the end it was only my witness statement that could be held against her and eventually after over a year, they paid out for my neighbours daughters car.
It was a really expensive and long winded process for my neighbours daughter...she had to buy another car in the mean time before she was eventually compensated...and all that couldve been avoided if the police had bothered to take statements and confirm that the other driver had admitted liability.
I hope yours has the same result, but in a much quicker timespanHi Bubbs
You can via the motor insurers bureau who are an organisation that will provide compensation to persons injured as result of uninsured or untraced drivers

Thanks will have a look at that
And to the person who said about the reg and that, sorry cant finedthe post now, only got half the reg as was so shocked at getting whacked at about 40mph in the split seconds to lift my head he was between 2 lanes of traffic and over the roundabout and gone. This is why they say they cant investigate as only 1st half of number plate, black matt zupped up car, white driver with dark hair they say this is not enough:(Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
