Best price - open days went well. Just answered the usual questions of 'why Manchester?' and 'what is the course like?' etc.
Didn't tell them the deciding factor, which for me, was the high number of Tescos per square mile.
:rotfl:
lol, open days?! why does it not surprise me that you've done those Karlie... DS1 said to me, mum, if I'd been there on an open day, I'd have shown tours around, can't believe how much they/you get for that!
FK, stay as patriotic as you wish.
Anyone wanting to post the Irish tricolour, I have no problems with that either.
We all have our little idiosyncrases, either for greetings, signatures, smileys, avatars. Partly what defines us as individuals on this forum.
MMW, sorry you were offended.
I too was concerned by the original posters post, and suggest you take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror, and think what disparaging remarks someone could make of you. You are talking about people who have families, loved one. You have no idea of what their home life is like/medical conditions are. This is NOT a thread for being so unkind towards other people, or making fun of them in public. By all means, talk like that amongst yourselves by PM, but not on an open forum please. The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

They allowed me to sit with her for a few hrs before taking her off the respirator. I just sat held her hand and talked. The Dr then came in and I knew it was time. I was dreading that moment but it was nothing like I expected, she carried on breathing for nearly an hr, all so peaceful and serene, She finally passed at 3.58pm when the angels came to take her.
She looked so peaceful, and free of pain.
I cried but did not care,it seemed to be the most natural thing to do, so did one of the nurses (she was new to ITU and this was her first time dealing with something like this) bless her :A.
I think I am now just numb from it all, I feel empty inside.
As sad as it has been I am so glad I had the pleasure of knowing this lady and even in her last minutes I am sure she knew I was with her, and as silly as it seems she has now given me strength to never fear death.
A big thank you to you all for all the support you have shown me, I mean that from the bottom of my heart :A
Now I have to get back to work (my employers have not even mentioned me having a few hrs off this evening, although its only 2 hrs) Perhaps it might be a good thing as it keeps my mind off it all and there are others that need me also
Im so glad it went better (if thats the right word) than you thought and she passed away peacefully.
Ive just lite a candle for her, now she is at peace and im sure is looking down on you with gratitude for all you have done.
You are a wonderful friend and person.
I hope work isnt too bad after today. always here if you need a chat, thinking of you :A0 -
I am off too. Night all
Baa, baa, black sheep,
Have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir,
Three bags full.
One for my master,
One for my dame,
And one for the little boy
