Issy...go paint while the sun is shining...you know how much you want nice Cornish cream walls...:) :):)

20 blocks painted. It has taken me an hour so far. Another 160 to go. I'll be finished by 9pm! My husband said that it was two hours work.

    Coat of stabilizer 1st ?

Long haired masonry roller makes the job much quicker :)

Thanks, Frequent but I didn't know about stabiliser until I read your post. I am painting a previously unpainted breeze block wall (which belongs to my neighbour). I don't have a roller but I have a large brush for the vast painting and a baby one for getting into the grooves. I think this job will be like the Forth Bridge.

Just been to T's and see that the new packs of the £1 smoked sausage no longer have the Make a Meal written on it . So you now can't get these with the mam coupon :(

I noticed this too yesterday, the packs are brown instead of blue and nowhere does it say Make a Meal - sneaky gits!

On the plus side I did relieve them of 8 packs of bacon and sliced sausage for free with my favourite SA on the SS tills...that crispy bacon though, me and OH ate a pack on the way home and it hardly touched the sides - £2 a pack?:eek::eek: I don't think so!

Went to a T superstore (not Extra) yesterday - not my normal haunt - and was helped by a friendly 'stacker'.

Whilst browse the freezers, he says to me .....

Do you like BBQ chicken or fish fingers?

    Yes says I.

Well, he says, in next aisle we have Chicken is Spicy BBQ sauce for 50p, and we have 20 Youngs fish fingers for 50p.

    Thanks says I.

Note to T ...... said aisle no longer has BBQ chicken or Youngs fish fingers !!!

Thanks izzeyb and forgetful for this useful info ... just need the mags now :D ... where have you got yours from?

Edit: Incidentally .. what do the mags look like and where in store are they? End of each checkout?

The mags are usually behind the check outs somewhere or near the store entrance. In Altrincham they were at the top of the travelator and also in front of the checkouts. In East Didsbury they were behind the checkouts, near the entrance to the loos. Didn't see any H.Dean (think they have all gone) and didnt look in Baguley. Sorry I can't post pics but the pics of the mags were on the Elite-meet up (rather a lot of them!) :)

3Dogs, please will you let that dog out thats pacing about at the back door, he's making me want to go to the loo!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

No wonder I keep finding wee puddles on the floor FF2 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We are actually still having trouble house training our little Molly who is 6 months now. It's just in the last couple of weeks that she has realised that walks are for relieving herself and not for just playing  She now stops to wee but nothing else yet, if fact she races out into the garden when we get back to do a poo which is a vast improvement on doing it in the house as soon as she got back  She is getting much better about going into the garden to have a wee and poo, though we still have accidents :( In the mornings, Alan used to get her out of her crate first thing and put her into the garden with door closed while he went to the bathroom, but all she did was scratch at the back door and squeal "let me in Daddy, I want a wee" as Alan put it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I now take her into the garden and stay out with her until she has done what's needed and she is improving very quickly

Mr 3Dogs slept ok during the night but is in more pain this morning. A Macmillan Nurse rang to say our Nurse is not in today but to ring our GP for oramorph. I have rung the surgery and awaiting a call-back to ask the GP to call to see Alan and take his blood pressure too

  • Afternoon Everybody

Not T's related but thought but pass on a good deal (In my opinion)
I needed 2 new tyres and it's my MOT tomorrow so over the past week have been looking into the best options. I always get a premium brand as most of my driving is on a motorway and feel safer.
Michelin have a really good offer on at the moment with a few different retailers where if you buy 2 or more tyres between 01st June and 31st July you get a £25 or £50 fuel voucher for Sainsbury's the voucher depends on which inch tyres you get.
Having 2 young children I always find it difficult taking cars to garage etc so my friend recommended Event Tyres who just so happen to be included in the Michelin Promotion.
Long story short have paid £126 for 2 new Michelin tyres, fully fitted at my house and a £25 fuel voucher on the way very happy bunny:j
    Now on the 5:2 diet.

    Lost 25 1/2 lbs :j:j:j 33 1/2 lbs to go

If you can cover the cost of posting them to you and then return them am happy :)

A couple of the boxes have been nibbled by our 2 greyhounds when we rescued them last year they were a bit nervous but all discs are ok let me know if you need them.

My sister is away for the week at the moment but I think her partner has all the Miami and New York ones but won't know untl next week.

    Take care :)

    Typical! I've got all those.:rotfl::rotfl:

Actually, what I don't have, is the last 4 episodes of Season 7. Bloomin Cash Converters put a duplicate disc in the box as they didn't have the correct one.

I do need NY Season 4 onwards and Miami Season 8 onwards. To keep the postage costs down it would be best to put them in some sort of slip, kind of like the ones Lovefilm use? or the ones you get software CD's in when you buy a new printer etc if you know what I mean?

    Bit rude?

The majority of us do trawl the pages.

It just seems that you don't make the effort at all. Some of us may ask the odd question every now and then, but you seem to ask questions regularly; without giving much in return.
