    the baby stoats i dealt with in NZ look slightly different... maybe just because they are NZ stoats.

    they are a major pest, together with possums. I help with a group of volunteer that walks along ecosanctuary fences to trap and track the bu99ers.

    The ones Molly dug up had quite big ears though....

    Think these look longer bodied and shorter legs than yours HC, don't know if you agree

    I think they could be baby moles. Where did you find them?

    Edit: Scrap that. Just googled baby moles and they are nothing like that. Not sure what they are, but stoat, weasel type animal sounds probable
    My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.

    Molly found them in the garden....

    they look to big for a mole as full grown moles are only 4 to 6 inches
