mortgage offer approved surveyer instructed but no credit check?

Hi,

A quick question, we are buying a house £151k, 10% deposit using a broker as we have properties in the background. Mortgage offer with Santander is approved and they have instructed their surveyor for lender's survey. i checked my credit file and there doesn't appear to have been any search by santander on there. Is this normal? I would have expected them to have credit searched me and the OH before their offer. I have a current account with Santander and we both have a joint current account with them as well. We have no adverse credit at all and excellent credit history and i'm not unduly worried but have heard stories of santander withdrawing the offer just before completion. Am i worrying over nothing?

Kind regards,

You are worrying over nothing, Santander underwrite upfront and therefore would not instruct valuation without being happy.

You may only have checked one credit reference agency and therefore they may have searched the other..

    Good luck
